One of Many of our Staging Servers
Once in a while we get someone asking us about “Run Away” or Cthulhu at the root of one of our staging servers. So, just to set the record straight, this is not a mistake. This is not some sort of hack. It’s just a staging server.
JDM Digital uses several (creative) URLs for our staging servers, including: RatedGenius.com, IISgenius.com, GeniusRated.com, and ISevolved.com (soon to retire).
All are essentially just domains pointing to commonly-used hosting environments so we can build websites and web apps within a very similar environment and review it online (instead of only seeing it locally).
An intern did the root of the sites with that whole “Run Away! Somehow you’ve reached the root of our staging server, released the terrible Cthulhu and doomed us all,” thing. We thought it was funny and left it.
