Adding images to pages and posts in WordPress is super-easy.  It DOES depend a little bit on your theme’s setup, but generally, here’s how it’s done.

Adding a Featured Image

  1. Go to the post you are working on.
  2. On the right-hand side, towards the bottom, click the link that says “Set featured image
  3. It’ll open a window, click the link at the top that says “Upload Files
  4. Click the button, “Select Files” and browse for them on your computer, select the image and click “open
  5. It’ll crunch some numbers and when it’s done, click the blue button on the bottom-right that says “Set featured image
  6. It’ll appear in the admin at the bottom right (where that link was), but don’t worry—it’ll be the main image when the post is published.

Adding Additional Images

  1. Place your curser in the editor wherever you want the image(s) to appear
  2. Click the “Add Media” button at the top of the editor
  3. Click the link that says, “Upload files
  4. Click the button, “Select Files” and browse for them on your computer, select the image and click “open
  5. It’ll crunch some numbers and when it’s done, click the blue button on the bottom-right that says “Insert into post
  6. Repeat as required.

Feel free to click “Save Draft” and “Preview Post” to see how it’ll look.  When you’re all done, just click the blue button that says “Publish Post.”
